American Honda Portable Generator Recall Lawsuit

On Aug. 3, 2023, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled Honda’s portable generators due to fire hazards.

According to the CPSC, the portable generator’s fuel filler cap can improperly seal, causing fuel or fuel vapor to leak, posing a fire hazard.

Approximately 250 units were recalled.

What model of portable generators has been recalled?

The recall affects Honda Model EU7000is portable generators. The generators are red and gray in color, and includes the following serial numbers:

  • EEJD – 1364963 through EEJD – 1366026Honda Generator Recall

Serial numbers are located within the access door.

The CPSC advises all consumers to immediately stop using the portable generators.
