On Feb.12, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the air purifier.
According to the assessment of CPSC, the air purifiers may overheat and catch on fire. This poses a burn hazard and safety risk to consumers.
There are currently 37 reports of the air purifiers overheating, and one report of the product igniting.
Are the Aroeve Air Purifiers Recalled?
Yes, Airova, Inc. of Newark, California announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves Aroeve brand air purifiers, model MK04, and were manufactured prior to July 2025.The serial number starts with “BN,” and can be found printed on the bottom of the product, along with the model and date code. The air purifiers were sold in both white and black.
The air purifiers were sold online through Amazon.com, Shopify.com, TEMU.com, and TikTok.com from Sept. 2024 through June 2025 for between $80 and $134.
