On April 23, 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the heated socks.
According to the assessment of CPSC, the heated socks may pose a potential injury hazard, including burns.
There are currently 14 heat-related incidents reported, with 13 of those involving first to second degree burns.
Are the 32 Degrees Heated Socks Recalled?
Yes, David Peyser Sportswear d/b/a 32 Degrees, of New York, New York announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves the heated socks that were sold in three sizes (medium, large, extra large), all in the color black. The phrase “32° HEAT” can be found on the battery pack casing, battery pack packaging, and user manual.
The heated socks were sold in Costco stores and online at Costco.com from Aug. 2025 through March 2026 for between $30 and $46.
