Premo Brand & Fresh Grab Turkey and Swiss Sandwich Listeria Recall Lawsuit

Premo Brand and Fresh Grab turkey and Swiss sandwiches have been voluntarily recalled due to potential Listeria contamination.

On July 28, Lipari Foods, LLC along with sister company JLM, announced a recall that Listeria contamination may be present in its turkey and Swiss submarine sandwiches.

The products were sold under the names Premo Brand and Fresh Grab. The turkey and swiss subs were originally produced on July 17, 2018 and shipped for distribution on July 19.

The contamination was found during routine environmental monitoring and product testing.

An announcement on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration website said, “JLM employs a rigorous quality and testing program; however, despite the quality of their programs, they are initiating this recall out of an abundance of caution.”

They were distributed to food and retail stores in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Wisconsin and West Virginia.

Listeria Food Poisoning

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious or sometimes fatal infections in those with compromised immune systems. Young children, frail or elderly persons, or those with weakened immune systems are especially susceptible.
