The Complaint alleges that Mr. Armfield suffered severe injuries when the lid of his Instant Pot Duo Mini Pressure Cooker was rotated and opened while the unit was still under pressure. As a result, the “contents inside were forcefully ejected from the cooker, causing Mr. Armfield significant injuries.”
The lawsuit alleges that despite marketing the product as equipped with built-in “safety” features, the pressure cooker “contains dangerous design and manufacturing defects.” It goes on to state that “Walmart knew or should have known about these defects,” but continued to sell the product without proper warnings.
Johnson//Becker attorney Adam J. Kress filed the suit. Mr. Kress exclusively handles injury cases, with an emphasis on national products liability litigation, including cases involving burn injuries from defective pressure cookers.
