What are the Dangers Involving Lithium-Ion Batteries?
Lithium-ion batteries can overheat, catch fire, or even explode if damaged, overcharged, or exposed to high temperatures. This is due to a phenomenon known as thermal runaway, where heat triggers a chain reaction within the battery. If the battery is punctured or damaged, it can leak harmful chemicals and catch fire easily.
