LivingCaring Adult Portable Bed Rails Recall Lawsuit

LivingCaring Adult Portable Bed Rails have been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are currently accepting new cases for recalled adult portable bed rails.

What is the Problem?

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the recalled bed rails violate federal regulations for adult portable bed rails, posing an entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. According to the National Library of Medicine, asphyxiation is a life-threatening situation when the body does not receive enough oxygen. Breathing normally means taking in oxygen and breathing out carbon dioxide from the lungs. Any disturbance to this process can cause someone to pass out or die.

The recall stated, “When the bed rails are attached to a bed, users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress.” The CPSC warns consumers to stop using the LivingCaring Adult Portable Bed Rails immediately.

Are My Portable Bed Rails Included in this Recall?

The May 15, 2025, recall included about 300 LivingCaring-branded adult portable bed rails sold for use on adult beds. The support railing has a foldable frame made of white metal and black foam padding on the grip handle. The rails are adjustable, allowing the width to be set between 29 and 41 inches and the height to be adjusted between 30 and 37 inches.

The LivingCaring bed rails were sold online at LivingCaring.com and Amazon.com from May 2024 through March 2025 for about $71.
