Casely Wireless Portable Power Banks Recall Lawsuit

Casely Wireless Portable Power Banks have been recalled. The lawyers at Johnson//Becker, PLLC, are accepting new cases for recalled power banks that charge electronic devices.

What is the Problem?

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the lithium-ion battery in the recalled power banks can overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards to consumers. Lithium-ion batteries can overheat due to damage, overcharging, or manufacturing defects, which may lead to thermal runaway—a chain reaction that causes the battery to catch fire or even explode. This poses serious risks of burns, toxic smoke, and property damage.

The CPSC has received at least 51 consumer reports of the lithium-ion battery banks overheating, expanding, or catching fire, including at least six burn injuries.

Is My Portable Power Bank Included in this Recall?

The April 17, 2025, recall includes about 429,200 Casely Power Pods 5000mAh MagSafe wireless phone chargers. “Casely” is engraved on the front side of the plate, and model number E33A is printed on the back.
