On Jan. 22 2026, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a warning to consumers to immediately cease using the lighters.
According to the assessment of CPSC, the lighter violates the mandatory standard for multipurpose lighters as it does not have the required child-resistsant mechanisms, posing a risk of serious injury or death from fire and burn hazards.
Are the Topkay Lighters Recalled?
Yes, Xinyude Shenzhen Keji Youxiangongsi, dba Xiyude, of China announced a product safety recall.
This recall involves Topkay lighters. Purchased in a two pack, both items are solid black with the word “HONEST” printed on the front.
The lighters were sold through Amazon from September 2025 through October 2025 for about $15.
