Lucia J.W. McLaren’s practice primarily focuses on representing plaintiffs who are injured by defective devices and dangerous pharmaceuticals. Since she began practicing law, Lucia has helped hundreds of plaintiffs recover for injuries caused by Medtronic Defibrillators, Guidant Defibrillators, Medtronic Sprint Fidelis Leads, Ortho Evra Birth Control Patches, Viagra, Pain Pumps, and Trasylol. Lucia is actively involved in representing plaintiffs injured by NuvaRing, Yaz & Yasmin Birth Control, Fosamax, Kugel Mesh Patches, Levaquin, Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), and SSRIs.
Prior to embarking on her legal career, Lucia participated in AmeriCorp, volunteering full time at a homeless drop-in shelter in downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota. She continued her work there for two and a half years after her volunteer placement ended, helping homeless and low-income individuals with basic needs and financial assistance. Lucia’s desire to continue helping those most in need was the impetus in her decision to pursue a legal degree. Today, Lucia continues helping others by being a strong advocate for those injured by defective devices and dangerous drugs. Lucia truly believes in fighting for what is in the best interest of her clients.
